I used to truly love coming here—my hair always turned out great, and I felt comfortable opening up. But unfortunately, I can’t give more than 2 stars, and it has nothing to do with the quality of the work. For many of us, a stylist feels like a trusted confidante, almost like an underpaid therapist. That’s how I felt with Trisha, who I saw regularly. I opened up about a difficult situation with a close friend—explaining how I felt and why I felt that way, just seeking advice and understanding. But later, I found out that Trisha shared our conversation with that same friend, resulting in the end of a decade-long friendship. I feel deeply betrayed by someone I thought I could trust, and I’ll never understand how my words of vulnerability were turned into something so hurtful. Losing a friend over this situation has been painful, and I can’t justify giving my hard-earned money to someone who would betray me this way. If you go here, be cautious about sharing personal matters—keep conversations light, and save the deeper ones for a licensed therapist. I learned a hard lesson about trust and boundaries.
